From Agudath Israel of Ohio:
One of the new legislative changes that we championed in this past state budget, was to create the ACE Scholarship Account using Federal Emergency COVID funds. Simply put, every family with income below 300% of the Federal Poverty Level (FPL) will be able to apply for a $500 dollar scholarship for each child 6-18 in their family.
The ACE accounts are on a first-come, first-serve basis, so please prepare now to be able to apply as soon as the link is live on Monday, April 11!
As these scholarships are available to hundreds of thousands of Ohio children and there are limited slots, applicants are advised to apply as soon as the site opens on April 11th (We are not yet sure if the site will go live at midnight or later in the day)
Rules for this program require participants to have and use an OH ID account. (Note: This account is used for EdChoice verification so many parents may already have set up accounts)

On Monday, April 11, 2022, the Ohio Department of Education will begin accepting requests from families and determine program eligibility for the Ohio Afterschool Child Enrichment (ACE) Educational Savings Account program. ACE will provide funds to a student’s parent or guardian to use on various enrichment and educational activities.
The ACE Educational Savings Account program provides qualifying families with a $500 credit that can be used to pay for a variety of enrichment activities that will accelerate learning for students impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. These funds can be used for:
The ACE Educational Savings Account program is available to any student between the ages of 6 and 18 years old whose family income is at or below 300 percent of the federal poverty level. Qualifying children include those who attend any Ohio public or nonpublic school or are home educated by their parents and have been excused from the compulsory attendance law for the purpose of home instruction. The income eligibility chart is available here: https://scohio.org/your-child-may-be-eligible-for-the-ace-education-savings-account
For more information about the Ohio ACE Educational Savings Account program, please visit the Ohio ACE website http://aceohio.org/ or email questions to ace_savingsaccount@education.ohio.gov. Please note that the website link will not be ‘live’ until April 11.
The ACE accounts are on a first-come, first-serve basis. We recommend that you establish an OH ID account before the application period begins on April 11.
