All four branches of the Cleveland Heights-University Heights Public Library will be closed Friday, September 18, for Staff Development Day. This includes the Coventry Village, Lee Road, Noble Neighborhood, and University Heights branches. There will also be no school for CH-UH students due to a professional development day for staff.

Shemos Drop-off at Mt Olive Cemetery Through Sept. 18th
A community book burial for Jewish books and religious items will take place through Sept. 18 at Mt. Olive Cemetery in Solon. Place them in cardboard boxes or paper bags.
They will be accepted from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the cemetery office, 27855 Aurora Road. Items can be dropped off by the side of the office building after hours. For large drop-offs, first call 440-248-5100.

At City Council’s Committee meeting on Monday evening, the City Manager and staff presented Council with two choices for the City’s debt ridden water system. Join 52 other Cuyahoga County communities in becoming a Direct Service community of the regional Cleveland Water District (and LOWER the water rate as a result) or raise the water rate (and hope we can fix enough of the systems problems to make it profitable for the City).
