“No Hate, No Fear” Solidarity March in New York – Must Register Immediately to Join the Free Cleveland Delegation

What
A “No Hate. No Fear.” Solidarity March this coming Sunday, January 5, in New York. In light of the ongoing and persistent attacks against our community, it’s time for us to come together and demonstrate our collective resolve. Cleveland will be sending a delegation. We encourage you to participate.

When and Where
Busses will leave from the Jewish Federation of Cleveland for New York late Saturday night/Sunday at 12:00 AM.
There is no charge to ride the busses and participate.
The March begins at 11:00 am at Foley Square in Lower Manhattan for a march across the Brooklyn Bridge, followed by a rally in Columbus Park (near Cadman Plaza).
We will return at the end of the march to Cleveland and anticipate being back around 2:00 AM early Monday morning.

We regret to inform you of the passing of Mrs. Erna Laufer, ob”m, mother of Rita Schonfeld (Louis) and Edith Shachter (Harold).

The funeral will be 4pm today, Wednesday, at Berkowitz Kumin. Burial will be Friday in Israel. The family will return Sunday and sit shiva in Cleveland next week. Details to follow.

We regret to inform you of the passing of Mrs. Sarah Rachel Cohen. Mrs. Cohen was originally from Cleveland and recently resided in Lakewood. She was just a couple days shy of her 80th birthday.

She is survived by her husband, Dr. Shmuel Yaakov, and her children Mrs. Devorah Waxman (Lakewood), Mrs. Leora Cohen (Beitar), Mrs. Elana Dubovick (Chicago), Mrs. Yehudis Saftlas (Melbourne, Australia), Mrs. Chaya Abrams (Denver), Yoel Cohen (Lakewood), Zev Cohen (Lakewood), and Levi Cohen (Lakewood).

Tehillim for Good: Today, Right Now, Say a Chapter of Tehillim. So It’s Never Needed.

A mitzvah campaign in the memory of Rabbi Yossi Bialo, of blessed memory.

Every day, we say Tehillim for those we know, love, and care for. And in times of pain, anguish, and affliction, Klal Yisroel comes together and besieges Hashem with millions of chapters of Tehillim for those we don’t even know. Because we are one.

It’s high time Klal Yisroel come together and commit to saying a chapter of tehillim on a daily basis. Let’s daven for each other. Proactively. Preventatively. Passionately. And with love. Because we are one.

Together, bring Mashiach!

Our suggestion, in consultation with Daas Torah, is to say the shortest chapter, 117, daily or more frequently. This chapter is full of hope, praise, and thanks: hope for the time of Mashiach; praise for Hashem for everything He has done; and thanks to Hashem for He only does good.

TODAY, Tuesday! Naaleh Community Event: Zahava Farbman of Chai Lifeline’s Crisis Intervention and Bereavement Department

In light of the recent tragedy in our community, Zahava Farbman, MSW, PhD Candidate, Co-Director of Project Chai, Chai Lifeline’s Crisis Intervention and Bereavement Department, will speak to the Cleveland Community to offer guidance, support, and expertise on how to deal with the complexities of your own emotions. Mrs. Farbman will address how to meet your own needs and the needs of your children. She will be available to offer experienced psychoeducation as well as respond to your questions.

This event is open to both men and women and will take place 8:15pm, Tuesday, December 31st at Beachwood Kehilla, 25400 Fairmont Blvd.
