The Gemara discusses whether a kohen who knows no Hebrew may duchen in translation. Since this mitzvah is in the current week’s reading, we have an opportunity to discuss whether mitzvos that require speaking must be recited in Hebrew, or if they may be recited in translation.

A gathering of about 250 people turned out Sunday, May 12, on what started out as a cool, cloudy, windy and wet afternoon to show support for slain nurse Aliza Sherman.
Those assembled met at Hilltop Elementary School, 24524 Hilltop Drive, where they picked up T-shirts that featured Sherman’s image, and balloons, then walked on Penshurst Drive (Sherman’s former street), to the Cleveland Clinic’s Risman Building, 26900 Cedar Road.
Beef and Chicken Flavor Bouillon Cubes, under the name “Spice Classics” are incorrectly labelled with an O-U, despite containing chicken and meat ingredients. These are being sold at our local Marc’s. The O-U has been notified and corrective action is being taken.
