Camp Gan Israel Bat-Mitzvah Experience (B-ME) is a 3-week overnight summer program that gives Bat-Mitzvah age girls the opportunity to “Be Me.”
Last summer seven “unaffiliated” girls from Cleveland attended B-ME, were very inspired, and as a result have become much more active in Cleveland’s Jewish community. For more info about B-ME click www.cgibme.org.
Please tell everyone you know who might be able to benefit from this experience that B-ME’s director will be hosting an INFO SESSION this Sunday, January 27, from 1:30pm-2:30pm at the Friendship Circle, 27900 Gates Mills Blvd, Pepper Pike. The community offers their condolences to Dudi and Yossi Abraham and Hensha Jakobovitch on the passing of their sister, Mrs. Raizel Yampel of Brooklyn, NY. The mourners will be returning to Cleveland on Thursday and will be sitting shiva through Sunday morning. Shiva is at the Jakobovitch home at 2481 Blossom Lane, basement entrance. The Yerushalmi teaches that one who recites Parshas Hamon every day is assured that his food will not be lacking. Reb Mendel M’Riminov said that saying Parshas Hamon (Shenayim Mikroh V’Echod Targum) on the Tuesday of Parshas B’Shalach, is a Segulah for Parnasah, and indeed this has become a well accepted custom in many circles. Also have in mind as well all of Klal Yisroel, many of whom are suffering terribly with a lack of parnassah. Chazal teach that one who prays for someone else in need, for the same thing that they need, the one praying for their friend will be answered first!
