Menorah Park Mashgiach/Job – Apprenticeship
Menorah Park is hiring for several part-time kosher supervision (mashgiach, mashgicha) positions, afternoons, Sundays, and a multi-hour shift Shabbos afternoons to serve the various buildings on our Beachwood campus.
While we are looking for qualified and experienced kosher food professionals, we are open to the idea of offering training and mentorship for less experienced young people who are willing to participate in a paid training program. They would learn the fundamentals of industrial kosher applications, commercial cooking and kosher approaches, thorough checking of fruits and vegetables (bedikas toloyim), as well as modern technology methods for operating stoves, steamers, and other appliances in avoidance of “bishul akum.” This would be a great entry to a professional kashrus career or to simply learn more about food service.
Ideally, we would start with a group of motivated students, ages 17 and above who would train together and work the above shifts with lots of support, education, and a great work environment. Daren Bulley, our kosher supervisor as well as Rabbis Feinstein and Kirsch will be involved very closely.
Please contact Rabbi Akiva Feinstein, 216-910-2794 or akivafeinstein@gmail.com.
