South Euclid resale store Take 2 sells high-quality items to benefit those in need
(Plain Dealer)
Hannah Appel is in business, but only because she has to be.
For years, the upbeat Beachwood woman’s home has been filled with used, or “resale” clothing, which she would then give to people in need. She admits that the home was getting just a bit too overloaded to carry on the process of taking on used clothing, something she had been doing the past 25 years.

Beachwood – University Heights Community Kollel Building
We are all aware that the Beachwood – University Heights Community Kollel has received permission from the University Heights City Council to build a Torah home. Yad Hashem was clearly evident as four major variances were overcome to reach this milestone. With demolition of the existing structures scheduled for mid – July, the date for construction is getting closer.
The Kollel has been a Torah learning center for hundreds of families for over eighteen years, and is literally “bursting at the seams.” The building campaign has begun in a most earnest way, with a remarkable participation on the part of many outstanding individuals who reside in our community.

Yesh Tikvah – A BEACON OF HOPE FOR THOSE SUFFERING IN SILENCE
As the world around us becomes increasingly complex, the incidence of emotional challenges in the Jewish community has steadily increased. The challenges of marital conflict, abuse, addiction, serious illness or loss, and families with children with special needs, are much more common than they were years ago. When these issues are left unaddressed, it means the gradual erosion of families and of the very fabric of the communities they comprise.
