It isn’t aimed at “alienating” “half the Jewish community.” It was simply a business decision that the extra cost to attract that market segment wouldn’t bring in enough business to offset the higher prices that these costs would entail. Probably far more people would prefer a kosher donut to Dunkin’ Donuts, where they would otherwise shop. This is another Facebook-like statement which assumes that right wing Orthodoxy is the only acceptable standard and anything else should not be allowed. Good luck, Goldie’s!
Anonymous: Nobody is alienating anyone. These bakeries use premixed ingredients, they have no choice , since it comes dairy from the factory. We have great pareve bakeries in Cleveland. Whenever I travel out of town, I have “orders”to bring from our bakeries!!!!
Goldie’s (Amy Joe’s) was never a kosher bakery – it is a landmark business that happens to be under a hashgocho. The vast majority of their customers are not Jewish – just check it out and you will see that. We are fortunate that we have them, since they make a quality product, and have good hours. And don’t forget the pre and post Pesach crowd! For those that need a Parve alternative, there are plenty of other options: Unger’s, Bagel Shoppe, and Elie’s make quality fresh pastries, plus the other stores in town, such as Heinen’s, that carry packaged cakes and cookies.
Let’s all take a deep breath and realize that not everyone is the same.

In today’s day and age why would you open a kosher bakery alienating half the Jewish community by not making it Cholov Yisroel so everyone can enjoy?

It’s not a matter of “not being allowed” rather the question asked was why not Pareve which opens up the market
