Eretz Yisrael Levaya and Shiva Information – R. Mendy Klein

The Levaya in Eretz Yisrael for R’ Mendy Klein Z”L will take place on Monday morning at approximately 9:45 am at Yeshiva Kaminetz – 22 Yecheskal in Yerushalayim. The Kvura will follow on Har Menuchos. The family will be sitting shiva on Monday following the Kvura at 27 Ben Maimon in Rechavia. The family will be leaving Eretz Yisrael on Monday evening.

Mrs. Ita Klein, Mrs. Edna Jaffa, Mrs. Dina Halpern, Mr. Yoni Klein and Mr. Nati Klein will be sitting shiva for their husband/father – our dear member and friend Mr. Mendy Klein (R’ Menachem Moshe ben R’ Naphtali Hertzka) Z”L in Cleveland at the Klein home 23453 Timberlane beginning Tuesday Afternoon until Sunday Morning. Shiva times are as follows:

Tuesday: 1:00 pm -5:00 pm
7:00 pm – 11:00 pm
Mincha/Maariv: 8:15 pm
Wednesday/Thursday

Shacharis: 7:30 am
Mincha/Maariv 8:15 pm
Shiva hours: After Shacharis until 12:00 pm
1:00 pm – 5:00 pm
7:00 pm – 11:00 pm
Friday

Shacharis: 7:30 am
Shiva hours: After Shacharis until 2:00pm
Motzei Shabbos

10:00 pm – Midnight
Sunday

Shacharis: 8:00 am (shiva concludes after Shacharis)

Please be respectful of the times the family has set up for breaks/meals. Also please conclude all Shiva visits by the times posted.

With tears and an extremely heavy heart we regret to inform you of the untimely passing of the holy R. Mendy Klein, of blessed memory.

All of Klal Yisroel has suffered a tremendous loss today.

The levaya will be Friday at 12:00pm at Yavne. Kevura will be in Eretz Yisroel.

Election and Voting Overview

As a primary election, you will be asked to choose a ballot based on party or “Issues only.” Only the tax and state issues are actually resolved now. Candidates who win this election will still have to compete against other parties and win in the open election in November to hold the office.

Below you will find my suggestions for the Democrat and Republican ballots, only for the contested races, unless there is strong reason to voice support for another candidate. As for which ballot to choose, there is more on that in the expanded comments.

As always, the most important thing is to show up and vote so that politicians don’t take our community for granted. We will only be valued as a constituency if show up and vote. Voter turnout in our community, although higher than average by some, still needs to improve.  Whether by absentee or at the polls, please take the time to vote.  The more of our votes they count, the more we count.
