“The new building will be constructed behind the existing building,” said architect Marco Ciccarelli, principal at studioTechne Architects. He said that the current building, 2437 S. Green Road, at Timberlane Drive, will be torn down once the new synagogue is ready for use.
The new parking lot, at 128 spaces, will be located in front of the new building. It will contain fewer than the 202 spaces now at the site.
The new building will be about 6,000 square feet larger than the current building.
