Filled! Customer Service Position Opening at the Cleveland Chesed Center

Hours: 12:30 pm – 5:30 pm Tuesday – Thursday, every other Sunday 4 hours each

Pay: Hourly, commensurate with experience

Responsibilities:

  1. Greeting clients and signing them into the online registration system
  2. Explaining to new clients the rules of the Center and showing them around
  3. Assuring clients follow all posted signs and instructions
  4. Interact with clients regarding their food/clothing/furniture needs
  5. Receiving material donations that come to the Center, and providing written receipts
  6. Assisting with keeping Center neat and orderly
  7. Assuring all signs/brochures/fliers are stocked/relevant/in good condition
  8. Answering phone calls, taking messages off voicemail
  9. Filing
  10. Taking in mail and sorting

Skill set: basic computer skills, firm but friendly personality with a listening ear, organized, responsible, light lifting

Gesher is moving to a brand new suite at 1481 Warrensville Center Rd., near the corner of Mayfield Rd., that will be shared with our parent organization, Agudath Israel of Ohio. Our new facility will give us enhanced capacity and space to serve our clients and build on our successful Career Division. The new facility includes a conference room, classroom space, computer access, and more.
