We regret to inform you of the untimely passing of Yoni Vaiselberg, יונתן דוב בן נחמן, son of Neil and Tracey.

The Vaiselbergs are sitting shiva in their home, 2585 Larchmont Rd., through Thursday morning.

Shiva hours:

Sunday through Wednesday 11:00am-1:00pm and 3:00-7:00pm

We regret to inform you of the passing of Merv Mendelsohn, ob”m, Mordechai Carpul ben Yisrael Pesach.

Graveside funeral will be today, Thursday, 9th of Av, June 30, at 4:00 pm at Mt. Olive Cemetery in Solon. Visitors welcome.

The Chabad community extends our most heartfelt condolences to his wife Caren, children Liba (Jessica) Sulliven, Chava Makalsky, Shaina Chanukov and Pesach (Ian) and sister Shelby and rest of the family.

Shiva will be at the home of his daughter Chava Makalsky, 2620 Rubyvale Rd., details to follow.

New: Vasikin Club of Beachwood

The Shulchan Aruch (58:1) writes that it’s a mitzvah min hamuvchar to say Shema k’vasikin – at sunrise. The Be’ur Halacha explains that those who are careful to daven k’vasikin can do so even without a minyan. HaRav Nebenzahl and many other poskim say that this refers to someone who is careful on any day – even without consistency.
