The first book discussion of the Women’s Jewish Book Club will be held on Sunday, February 27th, from 10:30am-12pm at Waxman Chabad Center, 2479 South Green Road. We invite you to join us.

The book we are reading and discussing is The Gilded Cage: Queen Esther’s Untold Story by Sorele Brownstein. Drawn from the Talmud, Midrash, and many Jewish scholars as you’ve never heard before. The book can be purchased on Amazon.

Facilitating the discussion is Mrs. Sue Polster, MA, college level English professor. There will also be other presenters.

$10 admission/refreshments / ($5 girls).

The countdown to Bikur Cholim’s annual fundraiser, ONWARD Cleveland, is here. This year’s campaign begins February 19th at 8 p.m. and continues until February 21st at 10 p.m. for 50 hours of virtual crowdfunding with a goal to raise $800,000.

The fundraiser kicks off with a livestreamed opening program featuring Rabbi Yossi Bensoussan, a nationally and internationally recognized motivational speaker and community educator on addiction.

Also included is a livestreamed auction, SOLD! Auction, for participants who become “Rayzers” and raise a minimum of $1,000. Then on Feb. 21 at 8 p.m., the dollars raised by Rayzers become virtual dollars to be used to bid on prizes.
