Eastside nursing home has a full time job opening for medical billing and collections.  Job duties include, but are not limited to third party billing, posting payments, adjustments, following up with the various insurance carriers, and working aging reports on a monthly basis.  Candidate must have 5+ years of medical billing and collections experience including Commercial Insurance and Medicaid.  Proficiency in Microsoft Office is a must.  The ideal candidate demonstrates great people skills, a professional telephone demeanor, pays close attention to detail with consistent follow through, and is able to productively manage high volumes of work.  Please send resume to job110@localjewishnews.com.

Holocaust activist Robert (Mendy) Klein of Cleveland is the featured speaker and the theme is “Never Again : Heeding the Warning Signs” at the Governor’s 33rd Annual Holocaust Commemoration at the Ohio Statehouse on April 9, 2013. Yom Hazikaron – Yom Haatzmaut at Oheb Zedek Taylor Road Synagogue

Open invitation to the Cleveland Jewish Community celebrating Yom Hazikaron / Yom Haatzmaut at Oheb Zedek Taylor Road Synagogue in Cleveland Heights.
Oheb Zedek Taylor Road Synagogue will be celebrating Yom Hazikaron for the fallen Israeli soldiers, and  pre-Yom Haatzmaut on Sunday April 14th at 12:00 PM.
Guest speaker Barry Feldman, President of Mogen David Adom of Israel in Cleveland will make a special presentation.
A memorial prayer for the fallen Israeli soldiers, followed by an Israeli style lunch and Israeli music.

Attention all Mishpacha and Bina subscribers!  Big Chesed Opportunity! We are putting the real meaning of the word ‘recycle’ into action! When you are finished reading your magazines, instead of throwing them away or letting them pile up, now you can drop them off to be distributed to others! You may drop off as often and as many as you like, at the Koyfman home, 2424 Beachwood Blvd. in Beachwood, conveniently located around the corner from all the shuls on Green Rd. Simply put magazines in the marked bin on the front porch at your convenience. Distributions will be made WEEKLY, so please keep them coming!

We are looking for a part time Administrative Assistant who is extremely organized, self motivated, able to learn easily and experienced/proficient in computers/technology.
2. Private Entry Apartment
We are adding to our Staff Team a single female from out of town, and are looking for an Apartment with a Private Entry; in an apartment complex or a basement, etc. that is in the Beachwood/University Heights community as close to the Synagogue Complex at Green Road and East Carroll.

There is a woman by the name of Denise (or Devorah) Stein in town stating that she is collecting funds for herself due to a divorce. She appears to be in her fifties. She is also looking for a place to stay (The Hochnosis Orchim of Cleveland is only available to men). She is carrying a certificate from the Vaad Hatzedakos Agudas Yisroel of Illinois (Chicago) from about a year ago and another from the Vaad Hatzedakos (Vaad Harabonim) of Queens.

John Carroll honors Holocaust survivors, victims

David Markovich, founding president of Hillel at John Carroll University, is proud of his grandfather, a Holocaust survivor who died six months ago.

That pride came through clearly during JCU’s first Holocaust Remembrance Day April 8 at the university’s Dolan Center of Science and Technology in University Heights. About 75 people attended.

As in previous years, most books, including a wide selection of saforim, childrens, fiction and non-fiction secular books will be priced at $2.00 or less!

It was about two years ago that the residents of Cherry Hill, NJ were told that we were eligible to participate in the OU Emerging Communities Fair in New York.  This was fantastic news to us.  After all, we love the fact that Cherry Hill is the kind of warm, friendly community where everybody knows your name, but we also don’t want to be too much of a well-kept secret.

We regret to inform you of the passing of Mrs. Olga Hertz, mother of Susan (Sam) Schvartz.  The funeral was Sunday, April 7th at 3:00p.m. at Berkowitz Kumin. Family will observe Shiva at the residence of Mr. and Mrs. Sam and Susan Shvartz, 24400 Union Circle, Beachwood, OH. Mon – Thu  2:00 p.m.- 9:00 p.m. Mincha/Maariv at 7:45 p.m.

 May the family be comforted among the mourners of Zion and Jerusalem. Ha’Makom yenachem eschem b’soch she’ar avay’lay Tzion v’Yerushalayim.

If you are responsible, love working with kids, and want to spend your summer having an adventure while being a positive role model, this is the perfect job for you!Camp Ha Gadol is located in the University Heights at Heights Jewish Center, right next to Purvis Park

We are seeking to hire college students (18+) who will work in a fun environment for 6 weeks this summer. Counselors with interests in sports, arts, adventure are encouraged to apply!
