torah(Sorry we forgot to post this earlier. It is still a great merit to say the tefilla on Rosh Chodesh day.)

The Shelah HaKadosh, composed a prayer that parents should recite for their children at any time of the year — but especially before Rosh Chodesh Sivan, for that is the month when G-d gave us the Torah, and when the Jewish people began to be called His Children.

The Mishna Berurah brings down that each day a parent should daven for not only himself, but that his children should have a portion in Torah. One should have this in mind in both bircas haTorah and U Va L’Tzion (l’mayan no liga larik).

atidroomAtideinu’s summer program will soon be underway, and we are looking forward, as well, to the next school year season. If you have experience and an interest in working with upper-elementary-age children, we would very much like to speak with you. Summer hours will be 2 hours/week, from 4:00 until 6:00, on Tuesdays for the boys and on Wednesdays for the girls. There will also be programming on alternate Sundays for boys and for girls. The Sunday hours are still to be determined.
