Mosdos remains interested in Millikin property (Letter to Editor)

To the Editor:

Mosdos Ohr Hatorah has learned that the CH-UH Board of Education proposes to convert its long-abandoned Millikin property into something other than a school. Mosdos is disappointed that negotiations with the board have so far been unsuccessful. It remains willing to negotiate further if and when the board changes its mind and agrees to sell the entire Millikin property without excluding the old stables. Otherwise, Mosdos could not develop a reasonable land use plan with adequate recreational area for children.

New Web Site to Automate Tehillim Recitation

tehillmsiddurTehilimYahad.com (Tehillim Together) is a new Israel-based web site which automates the recitation of Tehillim for the sick. The site works great for someone who cannot commit to a daily schedule of Tehillim but wants to be able to jump in when they can and recite Tehillim as part of a group effort.  The site tracks how much progress has been made in the recitation of the entire Sefer Tehillim, and automatically opens up to the next perek that needs to be said. The entire site is in Hebrew only, but easy to navigate.

(Letter from a Reader)

Many members of the observant community want to go the Zionist Organization of America event ‘The Iran Nuclear Deal: Progress or Peril?‘.  Many are concerned about being Orthodox and setting foot in a Reform synagogue (Temple Emanue-l on Brainard Rd in Orange).  The concerns can be addressed by this information:
– There are no religious services or rituals planned to be performed at or during the event
– The desert at the reception is kosher
– The speaker is himself an orthodox/observant Jew
