I am pleased to announce the opening of my private practice, Joseph Steiner, Ph.D., an assessment and psychotherapy service in the Heights area of our city. I am available and ready to provide services to adults and children with mental health needs.

Here are some of the types of concerns I specialize in:

• Mood disorders, depression, grief, separations.
• Adjustment disorders, family, marital, and work issues.
• Anxiety disorders, including obsessive compulsive disorder, panic, and post traumatic stress.
• Behavioral disorders, ADHD.
• Coping with life stressors.

I use cognitive behavioral, family, relational and other therapies as needed.

I am a licensed clinical psychologist, as well as a licensed independent social worker with supervisor designation, trained at Fielding Graduate and Case Western Reserve Universities. I have been in practice for over 45 years at various community mental health centers, the last 18 at Signature Health before retiring. I have held adjunct professor and clinical instructor positions with Case Western Reserve and Cleveland State Universities, among others. Articles have been published in the areas of developmental disabilities and psychological religious issues.
