Cleveland Tehillim List

The Tehillim List of the Cleveland Tehillim Chevra is now easily accessible to the public on Local Jewish News. The list is being published as a partnership between Local Jewish News and Mrs. Chanie Malcmacher in the hope that it will cause even more community members to be mispalel on behalf of those in need.

The list will continue its practice of approximately six bi-monthly print editions. Also, in order to maintain seder the following long-standing guidelines remain in place for the inclusion of a name:

  • The choleh must be a Clevelander or the direct relative of a Clevelander
  • The exactly correct Hebrew name and its correct spelling must be provided
  • Permission of the family must have been obtained
  • The choleh must be reconfirmed for each edition of the list

Currently, the community has the merit of completing the entire Tehillim nearly two times daily. To participate in a daily completion of the Tehillim, please email Mrs. Malcmacher at justdaven@gmail.com.

CJN Article Reports on Growth of Local Frum Schools and Community

August 2, 2017 Leave a Comment

From the Cleveland Jewish News article “Orthodox Jewish schools see ‘dramatic growth’” by Amanda Koehn

As educators and students prepare for a new school year, local Jewish day schools are seeing changes in terms of renovations, new campuses and new programs. The schools predict continued growth in enrollment, primarily focused in the Orthodox community.

With an influx of Orthodox families moving to the Cleveland area for reasonably-priced homes, quality day schools and one of the strongest state voucher programs in the country to help families pay for education, the schools’ leaders are working to accommodate rising student populations this year and in the future.

Click to view the full article which has a graph of the schools’ enrollment trends as well as a short synopsis about each school.
