79th Telshe Campaign!
Each year at Telshe Yeshiva of Cleveland we host our annual dinner to honor our alumni and celebrate the Torah of Telshe Yeshiva. This year things are different and we had to adapt to the challenge Hakadosh Baruch Hu sent our way. Instead of a dinner we are hosting this 36 hour campaign in the hopes that our fellow Yidden will see it fit to support the cause of Torah and allow us to continue reaching great heights in Ruchnius and Yiddishkeit.
The Telshe Yeshiva of Cleveland has been a bastion of Torah in America for nearly 80 years. Throughout its illustrious history, thousands of lomdei Torah have grown to become role models and Torah leaders. They continue to relive and build upon their experiences again through the next generation of children and talmidim.
We chose to host our fundraiser during the 9 days leading up to the biggest destruction in Jewish history- the destruction of our Beis Hamikdash. It’s specifically on days like these that we need to be reminded that Torah is forever and nowhere is that message clearer than at Telshe Yeshiva.

Bikur Cholim and LakeHealth Plasma Blood Drive
On July 19th, Bikur Cholim Cleveland together with LakeHealth Beachwood Medical Center had the honor of hosting a COVID-19 plasma antibody-testing drive. Even with over 100 people registered for testing, the organization handled the event flawlessly. Donors were met with warm smiles, hot coffee, and fresh pastries. After checking in, donors’ temperatures were taken, and they were immediately led to the collection area, with a total visit time of less than 10 minutes. After collecting blood samples for antibody testing, visitors were offered a fresh pack of cotton masks.
Rabbi Sokol of University Heights commented, “What a beautiful facility. I didn’t realize what a gem we had in our backyard. They were so professional, and I barely felt the needle stick”.
Philip Mulivor commented, “It was painless, easy, well-organized, and filled with nice people. I would definitely recommend it”.
After the success of the first Drive, Bikur Cholim of Cleveland is hoping to host another in the near future.
Baruch Dayan Ha’Emes
We regret to inform you of the passing of Iris Klarfeld, mother of Dr. Jonathan Klarfeld.
Shiva will be at the Klarfeld home, 2576 Larchmont in Beachwood. There will be no time limitations for shiva. Social distancing will be observed. Shiva will be outdoors, weather permitted, including for davening. Please wear masks.

Dr. Mark Winters will be sitting at his home 3506 Shannon Road, Cleveland Heights, OH, 44118 until Tuesday morning. The family is requesting visits 10-noon, 2:00-6:00, and from 8:00-10:00. He will be sitting outside weather permitting (otherwise it will be indoors).

This week, Rabbi Yitz Frank, Director of Agudath Israel of Ohio, shared a brief video update on the goings-on in his branch of Agudath Israel of America.
Rabbi Frank provides insight into some of Agudath Israel of Ohio’s projects post COVID-19, such as the food distributions and other funding projects designed to help those struggling in the community post lockdown.
Rabbi Frank also details Agudath Israel of Ohio’s efforts to expand Ohio’s Education Choice Scholarship Program.
The update ends with Rabbi Frank acknowledging the projects and battles ahead; in his words, “Stay tuned. Stay safe. And thanks for all your support.”
