Extremely dangerous wind chills expected Tuesday evening through Thursday afternoon. Wind chill warning in effect from 1am Wednesday to 4pm Thursday.
- Lows Tuesday night will drop well below zero and will likely remain below zero through Thursday morning.
- Wednesday HIGHS may remain below zero
- Winds of 10 to 25 mph with gusts up to 30 mph Wednesday through Thursday
- Resulting wind chills values of 25 to 35 degrees below zero
- This will cause life threatening cold conditions.
- These temperatures can cause frostbite on exposed skin in as little as 10 minutes.

General Information
- Minimize travel.
- Stay indoors during the worst part of the extreme cold.
- Keep a winter survival kit in your vehicle if you must travel.
- Check tire pressure, antifreeze levels, heater/defroster, etc.
- Learn how to shut off water valves for potential pipe bursts.
- Check on the elderly.
- Bring pets inside.
How Should I Dress?
- Wear layers of loose-fitting, lightweight, warm clothing, and a hat.
- Mittens, snug at the wrist, are better than gloves.
- Cover your mouth to protect your lungs from extreme cold.
- Try to stay dry and out of the wind.
