The HEAP Summer Crisis Program is currently in effect until August 31st. Cleveland residents age 60 and above and/or those with documented medical conditions, can apply to receive assistance with electric bills, central A/C repairs and air-condition units or fans. *Total benefit amount not to exceed $300/500. We regret to inform you that Harav Reuven Feinstein, Rosh Hayeshiva Mesivta Tiferes Yerushalayim and Chaver Hanesius of Agudas Yisroel of America, as well as his Rebbetzin, were in a car accident earlier today. The Rosh Hayeshiva is reportedly badly bruised but in stable condition. The Rebbetzin reportedly has internal bleeding and is undergoing surgery.
Please say Tehillim for Sholom Reuven ben Shima and Chava Sorah bas Ita Devora, l’refuah shleimah b’soch she’ar cholei Yisroel, and may we share besoros tovos.

May one purchase pre-cut produce from the local supermarket?
After researching three local supermarket chains, we can offer the following guidance:
Cantaloupe, Honeydew, Watermelon, Pineapple – Some stores cut their own, while others purchase it pre-sliced from a regional company (Star-K certified). Either way, it may be purchased from the supermarket produce department.
Strawberries, Blackberries, Raspberries, Broccoli, Cauliflower – These items cannot be used as is, as they would require proper checking for insects.
Diced Yellow Onions, Diced Red Onions, Diced Celery, Sliced Tri-Color Peppers, Jicama Sticks, Celery Sticks, Carrot Sticks, Mango – These items are available at Heinens prepackaged bearing a Star-K.
