Out With the Old, in With the New…DOUBLE the Value

July 8thth begins a special week for Bikur Cholim of Cleveland, the organization that provides meals, visitation, equipment, and many other services for the sick. Tagged #pushkaweek on social media, this movement is all about making room in your home for a new, unique pushka. The pushka, specially designed for Bikur Cholim of Cleveland, will be distributed by community volunteers in an effort aimed at getting one pushka into every Cleveland home.

“This week is not about asking people for money,” said Rabbi Joseph, BC Director of Development, “it’s really about distributing our new pushka. We want every household to have one!”

There is more to the story than that, though. During #pushkaweek the community is encouraged to turn in all old, filled pushkas for a special promotion; the value of pushka contents will be DOUBLED from July 8thth through July 15th, resulting in higher donation power to fuel the compassionate work of Bikur Cholim. This special opportunity is a tribute to the memory of Mendy Klein, A”H, who was a uniquely creative giver, as well as a close friend and supporter of Bikur Cholim.

With the expanding growth at Gesher, we have made significant changes to accommodate the growing needs of our clients. We have moved to a new and larger location that has classroom space to house our vocational training courses. Additionally, we have just launched our new and updated website, featuring all of our career division services!
