Star-K Kosher Alert – Fresh Express and Other Types of Lettuce

From the Star-K: Please note that due to current insect infestation brought about by the changing seasons, many of the Star-K bagged lettuces that normally bear the Star-K symbol are not currently passing our mashgiach’s inspection. These bags do not bear a Star-K symbol. This includes both romaine and iceberg lettuces. Consumers are urged to check bagged lettuce carefully for the Star-K symbol to ensure the lettuce has been checked and is certified.
