Telshe Yeshiva opens doors to entire community

Rabbi Dovid Goldberg, president and rosh yeshiva of Telshe Yeshiva in Wickliffe, will be the featured speaker at Telshe Yeshiva’s community event at 6:15 p.m. Nov. 2 at Acacia Reservation Clubhouse in Lyndhurst.

Goldberg will speak on “every Jew’s unique role in this world,” said Rabbi Zvi Belsky, executive vice president of the rabbinical college in Wickliffe. Belsky said he’s expecting about 100 people to attend the free event.

Jacobson headlines Telshe Yeshiva honorary dinner

Telshe Yeshiva hosted several guest speakers who discussed their experience with the internationally known Orthodox institution for Talmud and Torah study during an honorary dinner Oct. 30 at Acacia Country Club in Lyndhurst. The evening also featured an informational video presentation about the school and catering by Davis Caterers.

JFX BOYS CLUB in Telshe Yeshiva

This Sunday, the Jewish Family Experience (JFX) Boys Club once again came to learn at Telshe Yeshiva along with Rabbi Chaim Helman. They heard words of inspiration from Rabbi Eli Rechanik who spoke about the meaning of Shema Yisroel. The boys got the opportunity to play in the Yeshiva Gym, and of course the highlight of the trip was learning with their chavrusos in the yeshiva; Elazar Reingold, Pinchas Kohn and Moshe Koval. Having the boys visit the Yeshiva is a great experience not only for them but for the bachurim as well. We hope to see the “Boys Club” come to Telshe more often.

Aware of its responsibility as the wellspring of Torah and Yiras Shomayim for the entire Cleveland Jewish community, Telshe Yeshiva has created forums for learning throughout the neighborhoods. Our monthly “Lunch & Learn” sessions, held in downtown Cleveland and in Commerce Park in Beachwood, bring a refreshing injection of Torah into the workday, while other shiurim provide the opportunity to meet and connect with the Roshei HaYeshiva and Rebbeim of Telshe. Thus, in conjunction with Agudath Israel of Cleveland, the Yeshiva will host an Elul Yarchei Kallah day of learning on Labor Day, Monday, September 2. You are invited to come and spend your morning together with us, in Elul, within the walls of the Telshe Beis Hamedrash and experience Torah learning in this most holy and auspicious time of the year.

Yeshiva anniversary dinner to show progress of new era

A year after marking the commencement of a new era, Telshe Yeshiva’s 71st anniversary dinner is set to celebrate fulfillment and progress of that vision.

About 500 guests from New York to Toronto are expected to attend the event beginning at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, June 20 at the DoubleTree by Hilton Cleveland East hotel in Beachwood.
