Bikur Cholim is selling bike helmets for $8 a piece. Available in Green, Red & Blue. Please call during office hours 9-1pm. You can also purchase helmets at our upcoming Children’s Health & Safety Fair on Sunday, June 28, 2015. To purchase call the office at 216-320-1771– from 9-1pm. Otherwise you can leave a message.

Patients, families, doctors and staff at Cleveland Clinic’s main campus now have expanded kosher options as well as a larger room in which to find privacy or seek rest.
The Bikur Cholim Hospitality Room and Kosher Pantry, located in the lobby of Cleveland Clinic’s M Building, opened July 31, and at 450 square feet, is about three times as large as the original pantry, which opened in 2008.
The event will offer a number of different free health screenings (blood pressure, glucose, cholesterol, BMI, heart rate and many more) as well as education and the chance to talk with many local Orthodox community health professionals one-on-one.

CLEVELAND HEIGHTS: Motzai Shabbos, January 19th, the Cleveland community turned out to show it’s support for one of it’s most appreciated, dedicated, and necessary institutions: Bikur Cholim of Cleveland. The event, hosted by Rabbi Shimon Weiner, honored both Rabbi and Mrs. Nathan Berman and Rabbi and Mrs. Eliyahu Rennert for their inspiring dedication to the organization through all of their tireless volunteer work.

A person visiting a hospital patient is performing the great mitzvah of bikur cholim. It is one of the mitzvos for which a person reaps benefits in this world, while the principal reward is saved for the next world. While visiting the sick, some halachic issues may arise. This article addresses these issues from the visitor’s point of view. Questions affecting the patient (such as adjusting the bed, using the call button, and asking the staff to perform tasks on Shabbos) are important issues that should be posed to one’s rabbi.
