An outpouring of affection and celebration characterized the June 29 funeral service of Marek “Moishe” Rosenberg, longtime owner of Unger’s Kosher Market in Cleveland Heights, at Berkowitz-Kumin-Bookatz Memorial Chapel.
About 700 people packed the Cleveland Heights funeral home that Wednesday morning to mourn the loss of Rosenberg, a Beachwood resident and a fixture in the Orthodox community. He died June 28 at Hillcrest Hospital in Mayfield Heights following a massive stroke two days earlier, according to Itzy Ketzinelson, his son-in-law. Rosenberg was 67.
