It can be difficult to integrate faith with hobbies, passions or careers, but for Yocheved Polonsky, dancing and Judaism belong together.
Polonsky, 52, is an Orthodox Jew who loves to dance, and she sees the two as perfect complements to one another. “Judaism has so much to convey and the arts are such a good platform to convey a message,” she said.

Chef Dave’s is still taking Pesach orders, but you should place your order as soon as possible to guarantee that it can be filled. Don’t forget to look ahead to Shabbos Chol Hamoed and the last days and get those orders in too.

We regret to inform you of the passing of Mrs. Fay Fine. The funeral will be a grave side service at the the Young Israel section of Zion Memorial Park, on Monday March 18, 2013 at 2:00PM. Shiva will be observed in the New York area. Fay’s children are Dr. Jeffrey Fine and Mrs Sandra Thurm.

Pesach is right around the corner and I am just past the nail-biting phase. This is where I just worry about Pesach. I walk from room to room in my house, feeling overwhelmed, not sure how I am going to do it all.
After 13 years of making Pesach, I know that this is an annoying but necessary part of the whole cleaning process. The anxiety that I generate during this time actually propels me forward into the next stage where I finally organize, clean and cook.
For those of you who subscribe to the, “Pesach cleaning is not Spring cleaning” bit, you might want to disregard the rest of the article. I am unmoving and quite stubborn about equating Pesach cleaning with Spring Cleaning. My feeling is that if I am cleaning already, then why not do a Spring Cleaning? Why should I clean twice? (I hope you heard the Talmudic singsong melody in the question and the movement of my thumbs as they went up and down in the air. Yes, I can do that even while typing!)
What I also feel strongly about is that my kids need to get in on the action. It is important that they actively participate in getting ready for the chag.
