As of today Sunday,  June 8,  the Beachwood Kehilla now has a Plag mincha/maariv minyan that begins at 7:10.   Plag is currently at approximately 7:23pm.   The address is 25400 Fairmount Blvd.

Whenever Rabbi Yehuda Cohen walked into the Torah LIFE Institute, the kollel on South Taylor Road in Cleveland Heights where he studied daily, the young men who were studying would stop and rise out of respect, said Cohen’s son, Mair Cohen.

“My father was very quiet, but he was well known and very well liked, as evidenced by the tremendous turnout at a late-night service,” Mair Cohen said. “I never heard him speak about anyone in a negative manner.

For the duration of the summer (through August), Cedar Sinai Synagogue will have an early weekday mincha maariv minyan. It will be timed so that mincha is before plag hamincha and maariv can be davened immediately afterwards. For the month of June, mincha is scheduled at 7:15 followed by maariv.

On behalf of the entire Cohen family, I would like to express profound appreciation for the tremendous respect and care given to my father, Dr. Yehuda Cohen, and to the our family in our time of need. There are far too many people to name individually but we know who you are and are greatly indebted for your kindness. I would also like to thank the many municipal and county agencies who were involved and took great care in this tragedy. May G-d grant all involved with this tragedy the strength to continue helping others in better times.
