How long have you been teaching?
I’ve been teaching for practically my whole life, from the time I was 18 until about 14 years ago when I became the preschool administrator. I first taught in Talmud Torah schools in Chicago, subbed in high schools there, and then when we moved to Columbus I taught in a community afternoon Hebrew school for about six years.

The Jewish Federation of Cleveland, starting this school year, is providing security at all five Jewish day schools in Greater Cleveland.
In an Aug. 22 email to parents of students who attend Hebrew Academy of Cleveland, Rabbi Simcha Dessler, educational director of HAC, wrote that enhanced security at the schools is being implemented “thanks to the generosity of the Jewish Federation of Cleveland and some private donors.”

With winter just around the corner, here is a link for our senior, disabled, and other eligible neighbors to connect with important resources for “Energy Assistance Programs”.The Western Reserve Area on Aging says: “The most common reason for not receiving energy assistance is that people simply are not aware of the programs available. The confusion created by different sign-up dates, various applications, and the numerous agencies that administer programs makes it difficult for those in need to apply”
This “Guide through the Energy Maze” provides you with information on available energy assistance programs. Each program is described along with its benefits, eligibility rules, and where to go for more information.
