Anti-Semitic graffiti was discovered in the elevator of an apartment building in a heavily Jewish suburb outside Cleveland, Ohio, a local news outlet reported Sunday.
Police in the town of Beachwood were investigating the incident in which the words “Jew Floor” were scrawled on an elevator button, according to local ABC affiliate NewsNet5.

The Jewish Federation of Cleveland seeks a full-time Accountant to join our Fiscal Department. The Accountant is responsible for accurate and timely preparation and reporting of financial information to the Directors of Fiscal Operations and Financial Reporting. General accounting tasks along with accounting support for the trust and donor advised funds and supporting foundations will be included in the day-to-day role. Candidates should have at least three years of public accounting experience, with a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; certification in public accounting preferred.

We regret to inform you of the passing of Zita ( Chaiva Rivka) Bernarth, the sister of Eva Hersh. The funeral took place in Israel. Eva Hersh will be sitting Shiva this week at her home, 2614 Elmhurst Drive, from10:00am- 12:00pm and then from 2:00pm-5:00pm.

We are excited to announce that our host for our next meeting on January 6, 2015 at 7:30pm meeting will be Montefiore at 1 David Myers Parkway in Beachwood. The session will have a brief address from Nosson Goldfarb, M.D. Dr. Goldfarb uses an integrative approach towards his practice of medicine. He combines mainstream medical therapies with complementary and alternative medical therapies.
Directly following will be the main event, our First “Round Robin” – “Speed Dating” networking challenge. We will go around in a circle and facilitate each attendee meeting every other attendee in an organized fashion.
