This past fall, the Jewish Community Health Initiative (JCHi; www.JewHealth.org) conducted an online health survey to examine diet and exercise in Orthodox Jewish Families. The goal was to use the information to help design an intervention. Thanks to all of those who took the time to participate! Here is a summary of some of the key results.

An out-of-state buyer who paid virtually nothing for the University Square shopping center in 2013 is more than $12 million behind on property taxes and debt payments – putting the long-ailing East Side property on the path to foreclosure.
A lender’s lawsuit filed in early February caps a prolonged slide for University Square, which has struggled with mounting vacancy and a heavy debt load since its completion in 2003.

University Heights resident Barak Ben-Tor, 42, was diagnosed with a rare form of adrenal cancer three years ago. His original tumor was removed, but the cancer has returned multiple times despite surgeries, chemotherapy and radiation.
