Our next set of Restaurant Nights will be next Tuesday 12/15 and Wednesday 12/16. A menu is attached and can also be downloaded at https://chefdavescatering.com/
Reservations are strongly recommended. When making your reservation, please include the date, time and # of people.
A reminder that if you have any dietary restrictions or questions about the menu, please ask beforehand so we can do our best to accomodate you.
Lastly, no matter how you place your reservation (phone, email, text), you should receive an email confirmation. If you don’t receive it, it means we probably don’t have your reservation.

Hebrew Storytime at Cuyahoga County Public Library, Beachwood Branch
Celebrate Hanukkah at the December Hebrew Storytime, a Hebrew and English story hour, at the Beachwood Branch of the Cuyahoga County Public Library on Wednesday, December 9, 2015, at 4:00 pm. Zehava Galun, an Early Childhood Hebrew specialist, will lead the Hebrew story hour for children ages 2 through 7. Hebrew Storytime at the library is brought to you by the Jewish Education Center of Cleveland and Cuyahoga County Public Library.

The Meam Loez (Tehillim, Chapter 113) writes the following important note regarding Hallel (which consists of Tehillim Chapters 113-118):
“The Hallel encompasses all the redemptions and everything that happens to the Jewish people in all generations. It also includes the glorification of Hashem’s name. In the Hallel, we praise Hashem both for the times of our ascent and for the times of descent. For we well know that everything happens under His Supervision. This is the meaning of the figurative words near the beginning of Hallel–’MiMizrach Shemesh–from the rising of the Sun–to its setting is the Name of Hashem praised’ (ibid 113:3). Hallel [and everything within it] extends from the time of our Exodus from Egypt until the end of all the generations.”

We regret to inform you of the passing of Mrs. Baila Abramowitz, the mother of Shmuel Abramowitz. The funeral took place in New York on Sunday. Shiva will be at the Abramowitz home, 2421 Elmdale Road, University Heights starting at mincha time on Dec 7th. Shacharis – 8:00am, Mincha/ Maariv – 4:45pm. Visiting hours 9-11am , 7-9pm. Family gets up Friday morning.

Help Wanted: Community Bereavement Group Facilitator
Vinney Hospice of Montefiore has been offering a community bereavement support group for many years. It has been an important resource for our hospice patients families as well as the greater Cleveland community.
We are looking to hire a new bereavement group coordinator. The coordinator is responsible for running a support group every quarter. Each group meets six times per session at Montefiore and is about 1.5 hours long. Our groups have had great results helping the bereaved to manage their many challenges.
