Chabad of Downtown Cleveland opens doors to Republican National Convention visitors

Rabbi Yossi Freedman, co-director of Chabad of Downtown Cleveland, said the Chabad will offer a space downtown for prayers, services and food during the Republican National Convention July 18-21.

Freedman said the Chabad is renting the ground-floor open space at 55 Public Square previously occupied by John Q’s Steakhouse, which closed in 2013, from Optima Management Group of Cleveland.

South Euclid Hosting 300 Safety and Security Personnel Next Week

Notre Dame College will be hosting approximately 300 safety and security personnel who will be working at the Republican National Convention.

Most are members of the Ohio Highway Patrol and the National Guard, and a small number are motorcycle patrol officers. They will be staying in the College’s residence halls and will be arriving this week and staying through July 18-21 Convention.

Increased traffic is to be expected on and near the campus. The College values its relationship with the neighbors and the community and wants all to be aware of this temporary situation – especially if you see lots of police vehicles coming through our neighborhoods. Thank you!
