I recently saw a piece on MATZAV.com about the Aish Kodesh Shul in Woodmere
And they mentioned a daily Tanya shiur – and indeed, even though it is not a Chabad shul – they have a daily 7am Tanya shiur. Tanya is a very choshuv sefer, and many Gedoley Torah have learnt it over the years. I mentioned it to some mispallelim in Khal Yereim, Rabbi Mendy Alevsky of Chabad at Case was among the group – and he would be glad to learn Tanya with anyone interested. Immediately one of the others in the group said he would love to learn Tanya – and the idea spread. I’d like to open the idea up to everyone – and see if we can get this Tanya shiur up and running. We’re thinking of meeting in Khal Yereim, in the back of the main shul at 6:30 am. Please email me (Shimon Weiner) at furhatone@gmail.com or call me at 216.849.5143 if you are interested in joining. This could be an incredible way to start the day – and I am sure we will all grow from it. We would hope to begin sometime next week – the week of March 14th.
(Heights Observer) “We should not view EdChoice as a threat to the CH-UH schools, but as a win-win. EdChoice can remove a roadblock for many choosing to raise a family in the Heights, with the net effect of benefiting the entire community.”
