We regret to inform you of the passing of Sara Taub, mother of Dena Rappaport, Shimshi, Baruch, and Ahuva Taub. Mrs. Taub started Cleveland Yachad thirty years ago. She was loved by everyone who knew her.

With great sadness, shock and pain we inform you of the sudden and untimely passing of Shua Polonsky, ob”m, יהושע רפאל בן הרשל לייב הלוי, a 31 year old beloved husband and father to two young girls, after a sudden brief illness, during which Klal Yisrael of all stripes came together to pray for his recovery.

Shua was the husband of Simi Polonsky, father of Emanuella and Sophia, son of Leonardo and Yocheved Polonsky, grandson of Mel and Marcia Waxman, nephew and cousin of the Larry Waxman family, and friend of all.

Over the past several weeks since he fell ill, Shua fought bravely while his doctors struggled to save his life. Unfortunately, their tireless efforts did not bear fruit, and Shua returned his soul to his maker this afternoon, Thursday, the 20th of Cheshvan.

The funeral will be tomorrow, October 31st at 1:00 pm, graveside at Beth Israel Cemetery in Woodbridge, NJ.

Following the burial, Ilka will begin sitting shiva at the Berenholz home, 600 Maitland Avenue, Teaneck, NJ.

Ilka will be returning to Cleveland on Wednesday, November 1st and will be sitting shiva at the Gordon home, 2268 Orchard Way, after 8:00pm Wednesday, and then daily with no set hours until Monday morning. There will be no minyanim at the home.
