The levaya will take place 2pm today, Thursday, November 4th at West Laurel Hill Cemetery, 225 Belmont Ave., Bala Cynwyd, PA 19004.

Her son Nosson Spero will be sitting shiva in Philadelphia from Thursday thru Monday at 504 Waldron Terrace, Merion Station, PA 19066. He will be in Cleveland from Monday afternoon through Wednesday morning at 14480 Summerfield Road, University Heights, OH 44118.

We regret to inform you of the passing of Rebbetzin Miriam Dessler, ע״ה, dedicated aishes chaver of Rabbi Nochum Zev Dessler, זצ״ל , and a remarkable teacher and director of Early Childhood for 60 years. Condolences to Mr. Reuven Dessler, Mrs. Sarika Schiff, Rabbi Elya Brudny, Mrs. Malki Rapaport, Rabbi Eli Dessler, and Rabbi Simcha Dessler.

The levaya will be held today, Sunday morning, at 11:30 A.M. at Yavne High School.

The levaya will continue in New Jersey at 4:30 p.m. at Yeshiva Be’er HaTorah, 961 East County Line Road, Lakewood, New Jersey.

The levaya will then continue in Israel on Monday at approximately 6:00 p.m. at Shamgar in Yerushalayim. Kevurah will be at Har HaMenuchot’s Chelkas HaRabbonim. Rabbi Eli Dessler and Rabbi Simcha Dessler will escort the aron to Eretz Yisrael and will return to Cleveland on Tuesday night.

Shiva is at 3664 Shannon Road. Mincha/Maariv at 6:05 pm. Shachris at 7:30 (use side door for Shachris, which will be downstairs). Please do not come after 10:30pm.
Rabbi Eli Dessler and Rabbi Simcha Dessler will return to Cleveland on Tuesday night. The Avelim will all be getting up on Sunday morning.

Mr. Reuven Dessler and Mrs. Sarika Schiff will begin shiva in Cleveland Heights.

Shiva in Israel will be at 22 Ussishkin on Monday night from 9:00 p.m.

Mrs. Malki Rapaport will be sitting shiva at 54 Enclave in Lakewood. Call for hours.

JVote Opens University Heights Branch; Joint Meeting this Sunday for CH, UH, and CHUH School Board

The Jewish Voters Association (JVOTE) is excited to welcome the inauguration of the University Heights branch. JVOTE is an organization dedicated to representing the Orthodox Jewish community residing in Cleveland Heights and now University Heights. Our mission is to build bridges with our local government, elected representatives and fellow citizens to educate them on those issues and needs important to our community. Cleveland Heights has had an active and influential JVOTE for over 10 years. During this time, the Orthodox community of Cleveland Heights has been able to amplify and strengthen our community’s voice in regards to our elected officials.

The University Heights JVOTE will be holding an endorsement meeting this Sunday, October 10, 2021.

There will be an endorsement for University Heights Mayor and CH-UH School Board. The JVOTE endorsement will be publicized following this meeting’s vote. Please, know the JVOTE endorsed candidates before completing your absentee ballot. For more information, please go to www.jvote.org.
