We are excited to be able to celebrate Chanukah together as a community, but a bit differently this year. In working with our local police and municipalities, we’ve been authorized for our car procession to travel through our local cities.
There are a limited number of spots in the procession. We will be escorted by the County and City Police. The parade will be live tracked so you can know when to go outside and join in the celebration.
Please help us celebrate by decorating your own signs, lawns, homes, in the Chanukah spirit, to wave as the parade comes by.
PLEASE NOTE: Please DO NOT get together with neighbors or other people while waving to the parade. Please adhere to social distancing and mask requirements and advisories by remaining a safe distance from others while outside.
Similarly, if your home is not along the route, and you plan to walk to the nearest part of the route, please please find a location away from others and remain vigilant of your distance to others.
Lastly, and most importantly, as Jewish people, we are charged with being the Aibershter’s representatives, and with that incredible privilege comes immense responsibility to set a positive example, and make a Kiddush Hashem. The whole point of the parade is to make a Kiddush Hashem.
If you cannot find it within yourself to follow all the above, please do not join the parade this year.
It goes without saying, that if you or anyone in your home is sick or not feeling well, do not join the parade, not even in your car!!
