Growing Hospice program is seeking a part-time Hospice Volunteer Coordinator who would be responsible for implementation and management of the Hospice Volunteer Program.
RESPONSIBILITIES
· Recruitment of volunteers that can fulfill a variety of assignments
· Provide training and supervision of volunteers incorporating guidance, support, and accountability
· Creating a group of volunteers who identify as closely connected to the greater hospice team and the hospice philosophy
· Ongoing documentation
· Processing and making assignments in response to requests for volunteer which often require patient interaction
· Cooperating with staff at all levels in the agency; assisting with department special events planning
REQUIREMENTS, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE DESIRED:
Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, non-profit management or related field is required. Three years volunteer/ community outreach work preferred. Formal certification/ licensure as a volunteer coordinator (e.g. CVA) is also preferred.
Required Skills: Bachelors: Social Work, Psychology, Non-Profit Mngmt or related field. Optional Skills: 3 yrs volunteer/community outreach preferred. Formal certification/licensure as volunteer coordinator (eg. CVA) preferred.
