Rabbi Seth Linfield to replace Rabbi Barry Kislowicz as head of school at Fuchs Mizrachi School

Rabbi Seth Linfield, executive director of his alma mater, the Yeshivah of Flatbush in Brooklyn, N.Y., has been chosen as the new head of school at Fuchs Mizrachi School in Beachwood. He will begin July 1.

Linfield replaces Rabbi Barry Kislowicz, who along with his family, will be making aliyah this summer. Kislowicz joined Fuchs Mizrachi as middle school principal in September 2004 and also served as lower school principal for three years.

We regret to inform you of the passing of Lillian Friedenreich, mother of  Rena Goldish.  The funeral will be on Wednesday, March 30 in Philadelphia.  Burial will be in Long Island.  Shiva information to follow.

We regret to inform you of the passing of  Bernice Gale, wife of Sandy Gale, mother of the late Cyndi Roller.  The funeral will be on Wednesday, March 30 at 12:00 noon, graveside service at Mt. Olive Cemetery, Young Israel Section.  Shiva will be at the Gale/Roller home, 23202 Ranch Road in Beachwood until Tuesday morning.  Shiva and Minyan information to follow.

May the family be comforted among the mourners of Zion and Jerusalem.

Below is a listing of special Halachos for left-handed people, excerpted from the Sefer Yad Eliezer: A collection of various Halachos, Mitzvos and minhagim pertinent to lefthanders, by Rabbi Paysach J. Krohn, Shlita. As always, one should consult with his Rav or Posek regarding his personal circumstances:
1. When Making a Bracha. When making a bracha, the left-hander holds the food in his
left hand. The same is true when a left hander is holding any Devar Mitzvah that he is
about to utilize so that he would hold any Kos Shel Bracha (even if he does not
personally drink from it) in his left hand, the besamim at Havdalah in his left hand, etc.
