University Heights’ list of streets to be repaired in 2016 includes Hillbrook, Cedarbrook roads

The city has listed the streets it plans to have repaired in 2016.

At the City Council meeting held Monday, council approved legislation to allow Mayor Susan Infeld to seek bids for the road repair work which, in some instances, will also include new curbs added to streets.

“The streets we chose are the ones that need work the most,” Infeld said. “We have budgeted $1 million for the work. We have 32 miles of roads in University Heights and we try to repair as much of them as we can every year.”

Shemos Issue in Community Publication

clevartshemos2016A brochure entitled “Cleveland Israel Arts Connection- a program of the Jewish Federation of Cleveland,” was delivered to Jewish households last week. On page 8 there appears in Hebrew one of the names of Hashem (“Elokim”). Per a publication by the Kof-K  and local Rabbonim, it seems that it would have to treat this as Shemos. Please consult your local rabbi for guidance. The Jewish Federation of Cleveland is aware of this problem and apologizes to the community for missing this. The explained that the publisher of this brochure did not advise in advance about this issue.

New Weekly Shiur for Women
