Entrepreneurs seek more leeway in Cleveland Heights’ home occupations code

November 18, 2015 Leave a Comment

burnt(Cleveland.com)

When it comes to regulations for home occupations, some residents are asking city officials to take into account their motto of “Home to the Arts.”

Jason Eugene-Boarde is the owner and founder of Burnt Toast Farms & Studio on Yorkshire Road, where he’s operated an urban farm and homestead since moving back to Cleveland from the West Coast in 2011.

Kashrus Alert – Sunkist Trail Mix

November 18, 2015 Leave a Comment

sunkistrailmix(Reader comment)

At Walmart on Warrensville this morning, in the fruit section to the left of the bananas, my wife and I noticed an assorted display of Sunkist trail mix packs with an O-K symbol. We called the O-K hotline and were told that the O-K symbol on the whole line of products is unauthorized  – see forwarded message below.  Apparently O-K is getting inquiries about this line mostly from the Midwest area and we, and they, thought you might like to put this info into LJN.

(Official O-K Kashrus Alert appears below)
