Atideinu, an after-school enrichment program for children in Grades 4-6, is now accepting applications for the 2015-2016 school year. General Studies positions are available for Grades K, 1 and 6^th in a boys’ private school .  Hours are 1:30-3:10pm, 1:50-4:10 pm, and 2-4:55 pm respectively.  Excellent salary. Selihot according to the Sephardic tradition begin on Monday, August 17th.  They will take place at Green Road Synagogue, basement level.  Weekdays at 5:45 am, Sundays at 7 am, followed by Shacharit.  All are welcome to join us and begin spiritual preparations for Chodesh Elul.  You can contact gabai@ClevelandSephardiMinyan.com or call Alan (216-233-2454) or Leon (216-202-5366).

A member of our community has a 4 year old granddaughter who was hit by a bus in Brooklyn. The child is seriously ill on a ventilator in a hospital in NYC. She is asking that the community say Tehillim for her granddaughter –  Chaya bas Bracha Perel.

With an allure as sharp as baseball’s Opening Day, the first day of school is about more than new school supplies. As much as students bring to the table, including perfectly sharpened pencils and well-spun stories of summer, schools bring plenty to the new year.
