LYNDHURST, Ohio — A New York businessman wants to open an upscale kosher grocery store on the empty lot next to Tesla Motors on Mayfield Road.

The lot was a car dealership for more than a quarter-century and has sat empty since Tesla electric car company began leasing the space next door in November.

They lost everything – even their Tefillin – but Bichasdei Hashem no one was injured in this incident.

Sources tell YWN that a group of 12 boys from Cleveland were headed to the Catskills, reportedly to Camp Kaylie. Around two hours after leaving Cleveland they smelled gas in the vehicle. The vehicle stopped a few times to check things, and then proceeded again. The smell grew stronger so the driver stopped and ordered everyone out of the vehicle. Moments later the vehicle literally turned into a fireball.

On Sunday, June 28th, Yeshivas Tiferes Avigdor (Rabbi Brog’s Yeshiva) in Wickliffe will be hosting a Hachnosas Sefer Torah starting at 1pm from Beis Avner (Telshe guest house), followed by a hot buffet.

It’s Dan from Heights Jewish Center. This year I am providing spring yard cleanups – the labor intensive stuff – weeding, mulching,raking leaves… no lawn mowing this year.

The stone setting for Mrs Ahuva Silver a”h will take place this Sunday, June 28 at Mt Olive cemetery, Shomer Shabbos section at 1 pm.

Rabbonim, cabinet ministers and public officials were in attendance for the ceremony to dedicate the completed first stage of renovations at Kever Rochel. The event was highlighted by a hachnasas Sefer Torah for an ancient Sefer Torah that was added to the Aron Kodesh.

The Aron Kodesh is reportedly an exact climate controlled environment to protect the Sifrei Torah from damage related to ambient temperature and weather conditions.

About 20 people showed up to bid on equipment inside the recently closed Lax & Mandel Bakery at an auction June 16 at the storefront in South Euclid.

One-hundred and 15 items were auctioned off to the highest bidder by auctioneer Buddy Barton, who conducted the auction for Rosen & Co. Inc., a 98-year-old Beachwood-based company that handles auctions, liquidations and appraisals. It took a little more than two hours to complete the auction.

We will also bring the Sefer Torah to University Heights to the home of Andy and Isa lefkowitz on Thursday June 25th from 730 till 900 for anyone who would like to participate in writing a letter in the Sefer Torah (in memory of Rabbi Brog’s father). We ask a minimum of 18 dollars per letter for the yeshiva.
