Please Help The Eisenson Family

June 29, 2015 Leave a Comment

Whether you have already been involved in the testing process for helping Rachael Eisenson, or have just read this and have an interest in seeing if you may be a potential match:

PLEASE contact Renewal at 1- (718) 431-9831 or email them at R964@renewal.org. PLEASE be sure to say you are calling regarding a Kidney for Rachael Eisenson.

PLEASE help us spread the word and SHARE this POST with the PUBLIC as well as with friends.

Thank you! See below for more information from a previous post :

Our 27 year old daughter Rachael is in Kidney Failure and in immediate need of a kidney donor. She’s been very sick the past two months and has been deemed an appropriate candidate for transplant surgery but nobody in our family is a match. Her situation is perilous and requires almost daily doctor visits and blood work. Matching with a live donor is Rachael’s best chance and she needs a donor who has Blood Type O please! We are reaching out as directed by  doctors to our friends and family for any possible source to find a match for Rachael.
It would really help if all of our friends and families would reach out to as many people as possible, AS OFTEN AS POSSIBLE to help us find Rachael a kidney. Please contact your friends, families, business and social organizations, Jewish organizations, synagogues, churches, schools, social media contacts, and anyone else you can think of to help.

Rachael has met with NY Presbyterian teams at both Cornell and Columbia University Hospitals. Her doctors at Columbia are most familiar with Dysautonomia (the main medical issue that caused her Kidney failure) and they will currently take the lead on this. A new kidney would allow Rachael to lead a long life which means everything to her and her family and friends.

Testing or donating incurs absolutely NO COSTS to you at all.

We have enlisted our friend Elyse Locks to help field phone calls or emails. This allows us to attend to Rachael’s immediate medical needs. Please reach out to Elyse if you have questions. Hopefully these links from Columbia will answer most of

http://www.columbiasurgery.org/pat/kidneypancreastx/

If you wish to proceed, please contact Maureen Carroll, the nurse coordinating Rachael’s case at Columbia by email and PLEASE cc (copy) Debby and Elyse on all emails so we can follow-up with Maureen. If you speak with Maureen by phone, please send Debby and Elyse a text on our cell phones to let us know you spoke to her. This way we can be sure to follow up with Maureen as soon as possible. It’s the best way for us all to be made aware of any contacts made as soon as possible. Time is of the essence here, and we don’t want too much time to slip by about any testing being done to confirm potential donors. If you text us, PLEASE include your name and the best way to contact you should we need to.

Thank you in advance very much for everything you are doing and please keep Rachael in your prayers. We are extremely appreciative. Please feel free to call Elyse if you have any questions.
