vanheusenAmazon is having a big sale with up to 70% off on clothing for men, women, and children. In particular they have Van Heusen Dress Shirts for the lowest price in a very long time – just $22.50 each. There are certainly fancier brands of dress shirts, but Van Heusen shirts have always been known to be well made and comfortable and available in a variety of styles – spread collar,  regular collar , and fitted.  In particular, their shirts have a a real effective wrinkle-“free” blend that really delivers what it promises.  Most people will opt for the Poplin fabric (most common medium weight) as in the previous links but some may choose the more starchy denser “broadcloth” instead. Of course, there are colors other than white available too!

In Parshas Naso, the Torah teaches about the beautiful mitzvah of Birchas Kohanim, wherein the kohanim are commanded to bless the people of Israel. This mitzvah is usually referred to by Ashkenazic Jews as “duchening” and by Sefardic Jews as Birchat Kohanim, or occasionally as Nesiyat Kapayim, which refers to the raising of hands that the kohanim do in order to recite the blessings.

An Appeal for Donations to Cover the Medical Expenses of Yonathan Linder

linderDear Cleveland Residents,

I’m writing to you today to ask for financial support, emotional support or both.

As some of you know our son Yonathan, 25, had brain surgery for his severe epilepsy at the Cleveland Clinic in 2013, and recently another brain surgery. This surgery is not done yet in Israel. He has an implant called RNS that will reduce his seizures greatly, or in best case, eliminate them completely. The surgery was done on April 22 and the next appointment is on June 19th. After that he will have to come back to Cleveland Clinic every 6 weeks for 4­-6 times, depending on how he will response to the device.
