Aish ReStore- Everything Deserves a Second Chance

Aish ReStore is excited to announce a partnership with Mr. G. Weiser and Alon Yitzchak Makalsky of Yavne Clothing Donations.

The Aish thrift shop is to become a reality! The 1000 square foot re-store will feature women and children’s  clothing, knickknacks, linens, toys, small furniture and more! Donations to Yavne bins will be sorted in the store and usable items we be kept in our local community!
Drop off bins are already set up behind the store at 4141 Mayfield Road. Stay tuned for store opening updates!!

Help Wanted: Jewish Federation Director of Community Services

The Jewish Federation of Cleveland is looking to hire a Director of Community Services. The Director of Community Services will be responsible for the oversight of the direct services provided by the Federation. The department meets the immediate needs of community members through various services, including, but not limited to, Access Jewish Cleveland, the Chaplaincy Program, Community Options Resources, Jewish Community Housing Program, and various grants.

Yeshivas Ahavas HaTorah & The Malcmacher Family Hachnosas Sefer Torah – LOCATION CHANGE

Yeshivas Ahavas HaTorah and The Malcmacher Family would like to invite you to a Hachnosas Sefer Torah, this Sunday, May 31st, 12:30pm, at the home of Dr.Louie Malcmacher, 4513 Churchill Blvd.

The Yeshivah Ahavas HaTorah Hachnosas Sefer Torah will be held at the Young Israel.  Kesivas Osiyos is at 1230pm followed by dancing at 130.
All are invited to join in the Simcha!

Amazon Will Start Collecting Sales Tax in OHIO Starting Monday

amazonAmazon.com will begin to collect sales tax on sales from Ohio starting Monday. Purchases on Sunday, May 31st will be the last day under the old tax non-collection. Until now, sales tax has been due but has been the responsibility of the individual consumer to report and pay but as of Monday sales tax will be calculated and collected on all purchases (not sure if this true if the item is fulfilled through a non-Amazon third party merchant).

Business and schools should consider joining Amazon’s ATEP – Amazon Tax Exemption Program.

Cleveland Jewish Orthodox Cub Scouts Outing THIS Sunday

scoutscircleSorry outing has been cancelled due to 100% chance of rain and severe river flooding. 

This Sunday, May 31 we will be having a Cub Scout event in the South Chagrin Squaw Rock area. This is a really beautiful place, featuring a nice, easy 1/4-mile hike that follows the Chagrin River, offering great sights of the cliffs, the river, and some forest.
Please see the links below for directions and a description of the site. We plan to start at 3:00pm and finish by 4:30pm. The event location is about a 25-minute drive from our neighborhood (so please aim to leave CH/UH/Beachwood by 2:30pm).

Coyotes in Cedar-Green Neighborhoods
