Today, Zayin Iyar, marks 10 years since Rabbi Levi Bialo, ob”m, Shliach to Markham, Ontario passed away at the young age of 25. It’s hard to imagine sitting here 10 years after the horrible accident that took the life of a husband, father, son, brother, teacher and shliach, Rabbi Levi Bialo. While it is ten years since his passing, it feels like yesterday thinking about the way he inspired the lives of all those who had the extreme merit of knowing him.
The Levi Bialo Chabad House at Reed College in Portland, Oregon is named after Levi. Over its nine years of operation, it’s served its purpose and the building has even doubled in size. But there is still much more to do to finish the design and construction of the Shul and campus to accommodate the growth in Jewish student participation and activities.
A 24-hour capital campaign is being held by Rabbi Dov Bialo, Levi’s brother and Shliach at Reed College. The $100,000 raised in this campaign will be used to complete the Chabad House Campus at Reed College in honor of Levi’s 10th Yahrtzeit.
This 24-hour campaign ends Monday, at noon EST. Through the generosity of three donors, every dollar you give will be triple-matched and will quadruple your money. Please help us reach our goal of $100,000. With your help, in Levi’s merit, we can do it.
Thank you and may we all merit the coming of Moshiach now!
