As I was driving down green road tonight in the total darkness I noticed a man from the community walking on the sidewalk, but I only noticed him due to his reflective belt. I, as well as any other driver, may not have seen him without it if he had been trying to cross the street. Please, in all of the preparations for yom tov, add to your lists a stop at the book stores for reflective belts. Especially on these late nights they can save lives!

Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday 4/6,4/7 & 4/8. Please email your reservations and include the date, number of people and time. While we don’t have a kids menu, they are welcome as long as they can sit quietly throughout the meal. As always, if you don’t receive a confirmation, we don’t have your reservation. HaRav Shmario Grossnass Visiting Cleveland For Shabbos HaGadol

(Kehilas Bnei Torah) The Beachwood and University Heights Kehilla will have the zechus to have HaRav Shmario Grossnass with us for Shabbos. HaRav Grossnass is a Rosh Yeshiva in Yeshivas Ohr Elchonon in Yerusalayim and the Rosh Kollel of Kollel Kol Yerushalayim. HaRav Grossnass will be speaking at Kehilas Bnei Torah Shabbos morning at around 9:20 (Shachris 8:30) and will then be speaking in Zichron Chaim for Shalosh Suedos.  All our welcome.

Star-K Kosher Alert – Fresh Express and Other Types of Lettuce

From the Star-K: Please note that due to current insect infestation brought about by the changing seasons, many of the Star-K bagged lettuces that normally bear the Star-K symbol are not currently passing our mashgiach’s inspection. These bags do not bear a Star-K symbol. This includes both romaine and iceberg lettuces. Consumers are urged to check bagged lettuce carefully for the Star-K symbol to ensure the lettuce has been checked and is certified. (Ed: Below appear two bags being sold at Heinen’s – one with a hechsher and one without.)

Shabbos HaGadol Drasha – Rabby Yehuda Cahan

This Shabbos March 28– Rabbi Yehuda Cahan will be giving a Shabbos Hagadol drasha for the Women of the community at Kehilas Bnei Torah (Yavne building downstairs) at 4:45pm. There will be a drasha for men at 6:20 followed by Mincha at 7:20. There will also be an earlier Mincha at 6pm.
