The Agnon School, Jewish community day school in Beachwood, OH is seeking a full time intervention specialist to work with students in grades K-8. The Agnon School is a Jewish community day school. We will be celebrating our forty-fifth anniversary next year and are known for excellence in education.
Our staff is dedicated to our student and parent community. We offer an excellent teaching environment.
The position includes the following:
1. Teaching 1:1 and small groups, remediation and intervention in reading, writing and math content areas.
2. Partnering with general studies classroom teachers to modify curriculum for students with special needs
3.Developing positive behavior support plans , and modeling positive behavior support approaches with teachers, to support the inclusion of students with varying learning needs.
4. Working collaboratively as a member of the Learning Enhancement Team
5. Participating enthusiastically in the school community events.
Qualifications: Candidates must have training in an Orton-Gillingham method for teaching reading or have reading endorsement. Candidates must have at least 2 years experience working with students with special needs. Candidates must be a certified educational specialist.
