Clarification – We want everyone to know that we are not selling because the club is not doing well. Baruch Hashem, it is doing very well. We relocated last June to have a more reasonable rent and we now have a larger, more beautiful club with a very strong staff. We have over 300 members, B”H and are getting more every day.
We are selling because we are very uncomfortable walking into our club seeing all of the Jillian Michael’s posters and the full size wall cling with her wearing very immodest clothing. As Shomer Mitzvos Yidden we have expressed our dissatisfaction to Curves International but obviously we are a franchise and must do what we are told to do. The new investment group that bought Curves in September 2012 has invested millions of dollars into making Curves the number one fitness center for women. They have just announced a merger with another weight loss business that will make Curves even stronger. We have no doubt that whoever takes over the club will do very well with Hashem’s help.
